M-Wave preflights your design specifically for our global partners. Once we've received your order consisting of purchase order instructions, Gerber Files, Drill Files, and Fabrication Drawing, the 1st step is our Engineering/CAM review. This review consists of an exhaustive checklist, which once complete, is kept with each part number's tooling file.
Once the review checklist passes, your job is tooled using state-of-the-art computer software and hardware. Your tooling consists of laser plotted artwork, drill file, CNC rout file, job traveler and an engineering file. All tooling is stepped and repeated for optimum utilization of an 18" x 24" panel complete with plating enhancements, test tooling, and registration holes.
DESIGN PACKAGE HINTS:
1. We will view the files from the "Component" side looking down, through the board.
"Solder" side is ALWAYS on bottom. Strategic placement of targets helps to ensure
correct orientation of each layer. (i.e. 3 targets, UPPER-LEFT; UPPER-RIGHT; and
LOWER-LEFT) Including your part number and/or company name on copper layers
(Right-Reading from the respective side of the board) prevents your board from being
build inverted. (Top on Bottom, Bottom on Top)
2. Board outline (FAB LINES) included with Gerber's helps to ensure correct size and
shape. We cut to center of board outline.
3. An accurate FAB PRINT is required to ensure dimensions are followed correctly. This will allow verification of drill sizes by quality control. Do NOT hesitate to include any information that you think may be unusual.
